Gravel Truck Rollover Prompts SigAlert on 14 Freeway in Santa Clarita

CANYON COUNTRY, SANTA CLARITA, Dec. 19 (KNN) — A gravel truck crashed on the 14 Freeway in the Canyon Country area of Santa Clarita late Monday night prompting the California Highway Patrol to issue a SigAlert.

CHP, AMR Ambulance, and the Los Angeles County Fire Department all responded to a solo vehicle traffic collision around 11:13 p.m. involving a big rig (gravel truck) on its side blocking the on-ramp at Soledad Canyon Road. Oil was spilled onto the roadway after the crash.

One patient was treated at the scene and suffered minor injuries, according to information from the CHP.

CHP requested two rotators to lift the cabin and the trailer. A SigAlert was issued at 11:38 p.m. for an unknown duration as the on-ramp was cleared.
