Box Truck Rollover Crash Shuts Down 2 Lanes on I-5 Freeway in Sun Valley

SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 19 (KNN) — A small box truck rolled over on its side early Tuesday morning on the northbound I-5 Freeway just south of Branford Street in the Sun Valley area of Los Angeles.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the crash around 2 a.m. and located the vehicle in the number 4 lane.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded for the driver of the truck who had reported hip pain. LAFD paramedics evaluated the driver who was then released at the scene.

Lanes 3 and 4 were closed while crews worked to clear the crash from the freeway. Wet road conditions may have been a factor in the cause of the crash.

CHP issued a SigAlert for the area.
