BOYLE HEIGHTS, LOS ANGELES, Dec. 22 (KNN) — Massive flooding on a street in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, rendered a vehicle inoperable after navigating through the deep water.

The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle stuck in water on Soto Street under a railroad bridge between Washington and Pico Boulevards shortly after 2 a.m. Friday.
The driver of the vehicle managed to navigate through the flooded roadway, but the water drenched the interior of the vehicle and engine compartment. Occupants inside the sedan were not injured. The vehicle was towed from the location.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollenbeck Division patrol units responded to the scene and closed Soto Street to traffic.
A bus was observed driving through the flooded roadway leaving a wake in its path before the road was closed by police.
The duration of the closure was unknown at the time of the incident.
