LOS ANGELES, Dec. 23 (KNN) — Two men were shot, one fatally, in Downtown Los Angeles early Saturday morning near the Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division Station.

LAPD officers were in the area of 5th Street and San Pedro shortly after 2 a.m. on an unrelated incident, when they heard gunshots. Officers located a victim described as a Hispanic male, 65 years old, according to the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.
The LAPD stated that the victim was approached by a 67-year-old Hispanic male when at some point, an argument ensued. The suspect produced a firearm and fired multiple rounds, striking the victim. The suspect was taken into custody.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics and pronounced deceased by hospital staff, reported the LAPD.
Throughout the course of the LAPD’s investigation, officers located a second victim described as a Hispanic male, 65 years old, who was struck by gunfire and self-transported to a local hospital. The LAPD said he is listed in stable condition.
