LAFD responded to reports shortly before 2 a.m. Friday regarding two homeless individuals setting a pile of trash on fire up against a structure near the 10 Freeway on 15th Street, just east of Long Beach Avenue.

A news photographer at the scene asked one of the individuals if he knew who started the fire and claimed he didn’t know, then proceeded to watch firefighters extinguish the flames.

The fire was knocked down in less than five minutes.
