Fiery Single-Vehicle Crash Leaves 1 Dead in Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA, Calif., Jan. 5 (KNN) — At least one person was killed Thursday night in a fiery crash on Valencia Boulevard, east of Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita’s Valencia neighborhood.

Responding firefighters worked for 20 minutes to extinguish the flames.

Witnesses at the scene said the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed before slamming into a tree and becoming involved in flames.

The crash is under investigation.
