TEJON PASS, Calif., Jan. 11 (KNN) — Snow began falling in the Tejon Pass around 3:15 a.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service predicts strong winds, rain and mountain snow through Thursday morning.
According to the NWS, significant mountain travel delays are likely, with 2-5″ of snow expected above 3,000 feet. The NWS predicts 2-3″ for the Grapevine/Tejon Pass.
Strong damaging winds are predicted for the mountains, foothills and southwest Santa Barbara County; gusts at 50-70 mph, isolated up to 80 mph. In remaining coasts and valleys, 30-50 mph gusts are predicted, according to the NWS.
