The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to an address in the 22000 block of Oxnard Street and confirmed a large water main break had ruptured and spilled rocks and debris onto Oxnard.

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was requested along with the L.A. Department of Transportation to close Oxnard Street, just west of Topanga Canyon.

Los Angeles Police Department officers were at the location assisting with the road closure, but DOT had not yet arrived during the time Key News Network was at the scene.

LADWP arrived and worked to shut off the water flow. It was not known how many customers were affected by the water main break and for how long the street closure remained.
