Child Airlifted to Hospital Following 3-Vehicle Head-On Traffic Collision in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif., Jan. 15 (KNN) — A child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital following a three-vehicle head-on traffic collision in the city of Lancaster late Monday afternoon.

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department along with paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to the scene at Columbia Way and 30th Street West at approximately 4:40 p.m.

Upon arrival, they discovered a child with trauma injuries and requested a helicopter for transport. The extent of injury is unknown at this time as well as what caused the collision.

Eastbound lanes were blocked on Columbia Way to allow deputies to investigate. No further details are available at this time.
