Water Main Break Floods Street in Florence Area of Los Angeles

FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (KNN) — A water main ruptured Monday evening flooding a street in the 100 block of West 59th Place in the Florence area of Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews responding to the scene were able to use their tools to shut off water flow on the street in both directions.

The Los Angeles Department of Transportation and the Department of Water and Power were requested at the location.

DWP arrived at scene at the time of this report and the water flow was stopped. It was not immediately known how long the residents in the area will be without water.
