Firefighter Airlifted to Hospital After 2-Vehicle Traffic Collision in Littlerock

LITTLEROCK, Calif., Jan. 25 (KNN) — A firefighter was critically injured when two county vehicles collided Thursday morning in the Littlerock area of Los Angeles County.

California Highway Patrol officers along with Palmdale deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to East Palmdale Boulevard and Longview Road where a two-vehicle traffic collision had occurred around 10:11 a.m.

Upon arrival, they discovered a Los Angeles County Fire Squad truck had collided head-on with an L.A. County Parks & Recreation pickup truck.

One firefighter was airlifted to a local hospital. The extent of the patient’s injuries was not immediately known.

CHP officers took over the investigation and are determining the cause of the collision. No further details are available at this time.
