1 Person Wounded in Hollywood Shooting

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES, Jan. 26 (KNN) — A shooting in Hollywood left one person wounded on La Brea Avenue overnight.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division officers responded to a shooting victim in Hollywood shortly before 3 a.m. Friday.

Deputies with the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department were already at the scene of the shooting when LAPD officers arrived on the 1400 block of North La Brea Avenue which is close to the city of West Hollywood, an LASD jurisdiction.

LAPD officers detained several subjects at the scene. However, the LAPD said there was no suspect description and that the victim was uncooperative with officers.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and was reported to be in stable condition.

Officers obtained evidence from the shooting as they scoured the area of La Brea and De Longpre Avenue, according to the LAPD.

The circumstance that led to the shooting is unknown at this time.
