Florence, Los Angeles, CA: Two men sitting in a Maserati SUV who were shot at the intersection of Figueroa Street and Florence Avenue around 2:50 a.m. Thursday, Apr. 14, traveled to a nearby intersection for help from police.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s preliminary investigation states that two men, a driver and a passenger, were sitting in an SUV parked at a gas station when someone approached the vehicle and fired into the SUV. The injured driver of the SUV drove away looking for help at a nearby intersection where police were conducting their pursuit crash investigation from earlier in the night in the Florence neighborhood of South Los Angeles.

Officers found two victims in the SUV – one suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, and one with a gunshot wound to the arm.

Both victims were transported by Los Angeles Fire Department firefighter/paramedics to local area hospitals with one in critical condition and one in stable condition, according to LAPD.

LAPD 77th Division is investigating.
