53-Year-Old Man Wounded in Westlake Shooting

WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division patrol officers responded to a call from a victim stating that he had been shot, according to the LAPD.

Officers were dispatched around 3:10 a.m. Friday to the 500 block of North Union Drive in the Westlake neighborhood within Central Los Angeles, where the male victim was found down on the ground.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds to the stomach, according to initial information at the scene.

The 53-year-old man was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition, according to the LAPD.

Suspect’s vehicle is described as a gray, older model Honda Civic, said the LAPD.

Details surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time as the investigation continues.
