Man Found Fatally Shot in South Los Angeles Neighborhood

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 (KNN) — A man was found fatally shot Sunday night in the Vermont-Slauson neighborhood within South Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division patrol units responded to a shooting with a victim down in the area of West 66th Street and Estrella Avenue.

When officers arrived at the location, they found a male down with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

LAPD Officer Im said that the suspects – one male and one female – fled the scene in a vehicle in an unknown direction.

It is not known at this time if the shooting is gang related.
