BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Feb. 26 (KNN) — A pedestrian was left in critical condition following a traffic collision involving a vehicle that fled the scene.
The Bakersfield Police Department responded to reports of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision at 9 p.m. Sunday at Wible Road and Hosking Avenue in the city of Bakersfield.
Arriving officers located the injured victim who was then transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The pedestrian appeared to be a transient pushing a shopping cart. Items from the cart were observed scattered throughout the scene of the collision.
The BPD is handling the investigation into the hit-and-run collision.
There are no further details at this time.
