Motorcyclist Killed, Passenger Injured in Violent Traffic Collision Involving SUV in Van Nuys

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 29 (KNN) — A motorcyclist was killed and their passenger injured Wednesday evening when they impacted an SUV in the 7100 bock of Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys, according to authorities.

The male driver of the motorcycle and female passenger were taken to a local area hospital. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital and the female was initially reported to be in critical condition.

The driver of the SUV they impacted was injured and transported for evaluation in good condition.

Woodley Avenue was closed in both directions just south of Sherman Way. A parked vehicle was also damaged in the collision.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
