Shooting Victim Located at Gas Station in Chinatown

CHINATOWN, LOS ANGELES, Feb. 29 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Police Department’s Central Division officers responded to reports of a shooting victim around 2:09 a.m. Thursday at a gas station in Chinatown.

When officers arrived at the location in the 900 block of North Hill Street, they found a male inside the convenience store of a Shell gas station with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

The victim was transported to the hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

LAPD Officer Drake Madison told Key News Network later Thursday morning that the victim – around 20-25 years old – was in critical, but stable condition.

The suspect(s) fled in a green Dodge Charger according to initial information from the scene.

At this time, it is unknown if the shooting is gang related, according to Madison. The investigation is ongoing.
