Crash Launches Pickup Truck Over Wash Into Front Lawn of Simi Valley Home

SIMI VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 29 (KNN) — A single-vehicle crash impacting property occurred when a pickup truck went airborne over a wash in a Simi Valley residential neighborhood and landed in the front yard of a home.

Simi Valley police officers and Ventura County firefighters responded to reports of a vehicle into a house just before 8:30 a.m. in the 700 block Royal Avenue.

When first responders arrived on scene, they located a pickup truck with major damage in the front lawn of a residence. Debris from the crash was observed scattered throughout the scene.

The truck somehow left the roadway before hitting a mailbox and launched over a wash before coming to rest on the lawn.

The driver was evaluated at the scene by medical personnel.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
