Vehicle Flies Off Roadway Onto 101 Freeway Leaving 1 Dead in Downtown Los Angeles

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Mar. 3 (KNN) — One person was killed when a vehicle left a Downtown Los Angeles roadway and landed upside down onto the 101 Freeway below.

Los Angeles police and California Highway Patrol officers along with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a traffic collision around 2:19 a.m. Sunday, where a vehicle came off North Broadway, through a fence, and landed on the 101 Freeway.

Once officers and firefighters arrived on scene, they located the vehicle upside down on the freeway. At least one person was reportedly found trapped inside the vehicle and one was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The cause of the fatal crash is unknown at this time and currently under investigation.
