NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 5 (KNN) — A vehicle slammed into a tree late Monday night leaving one person trapped in need of rescue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department was dispatched to a reported traffic collision shortly before 10:30 p.m. on the 17000 block of West Parthenia Street in Northridge.
When firefighters arrived, they found one person trapped inside an SUV with severe front end damage that had collided with a large tree and became wedged between the tree and a wall.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to free the trapped victim who was then transported in unknown condition to a local hospital by the LAFD.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time.
