Fatal Collision Involving Pedestrian Shuts Down 110 Freeway

SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Mar. 6 (KNN) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on the 110 Freeway early Wednesday morning in the Vermont Vista area of South Los Angeles.

The fatal collision occurred shortly after 3:30 a.m. when a pickup truck traveling northbound struck a pedestrian who was thrown into southbound lanes from the impact.

The pickup truck remained at the scene with visible front end damage.

All lanes of the southbound 110 Freeway were closed for an unknown duration.
