NORTHRIDGE, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 12 (KNN) — A pedestrian who was struck and killed in a traffic collision was found trapped underneath the vehicle involved in the incident.
The Los Angeles Police Department’s Devonshire Division patrol officers requested an ambulance around 4:19 a.m. Tuesday, in reference to a citizen flag down for a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic collision in front of an address in the 10100 block of North Reseda Boulevard.
A White male in his 30s was already lying in the roadway when the vehicle, traveling northbound on Reseda Boulevard, ran over the victim, according to LAPD Officer Jeff Lee.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel arrived on scene and located a victim trapped underneath a newer model Mercedes-Benz.
Crews extricated the victim from underneath the car and pronounced him deceased at the scene.
A female, possibly the driver, was seen speaking to officers.
There are no further details at this time.
