Broken Water Main Floods Residential Street in Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 14 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power responded to a water main break in the 4500 block of Stansbury Avenue in Sherman Oaks early Thursday morning.

A residential main ruptured around 1:45 a.m. in the roadway causing slight erosion and debris flow into the street.

The DWP requested the Los Angeles Police Department to respond for traffic control as no LADOT units were available.

The total number of customers affected by the water main break was not immediately known.
