Deputies Involved in Crash Responding to East Los Angeles Restaurant Shooting

EAST LOS ANGELES, Mar. 18 (KNN) — A total of three deputies were reported injured when two sheriff’s patrol vehicles collided as they were both responding to an incident overnight.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department deputies from the East Los Angeles Station were responding to multiple victims shot at Los Arcos Restaurant shortly before 1 a.m. when two patrol vehicles collided at the intersection of East Beverly Boulevard and South Hillview Avenue in the city of East Los Angeles.

The deputies were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions. One of the injured deputies was observed with an apparent head wound at the scene.

Montebello PD and the California Highway Patrol were at the location and assisting with the investigation. One of the sheriff’s deputies unit did strike a building with a downed traffic signal nearby.
