Firefighters Douse Flames Engulfing Home in Mar Vista

MAR VISTA, LOS ANGELES, Mar. 29 (KNN) — The Los Angeles Fire Department contained and doused a fire consuming a home in the Mar Vista neighborhood in the westside of Los Angeles early Friday morning.

LAFD personnel were dispatched to a structure fire at 2:23 a.m. on the 3900 block of South MacLaughlin Avenue where arriving crews found a one-story, single-family home with heavy fire showing, reported the LAFD. Firefighters began the firefight in offensive mode.

Firefighters managed to protect nearby buildings threatened by the flames. The LAFD reported that it took 35 firefighters 26 minutes to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
