Space Debris Breaks Up in Atmosphere Over Southern California

SOUTHERN CALIFORINA, Apr. 2 (KNN) — One large or several stellar objects were seen breaking up in the atmosphere above Southern California around 1:40 a.m. Tuesday morning.

It is unclear if the space debris was related to the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch that occurred at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening from Vandenberg Space Force Base.

The intriguing atmospheric event was captured on video by KNN from Lancaster and Pomona, California.
