Man Wounded in Central Los Angeles Shooting

LOS ANGELES, Apr. 9 (KNN) — Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Olympic Division responded to a shooting victim around 11:47 p.m. Monday, in the Harvard Heights neighborhood of Central Los Angeles.

When officers arrived at the intersection of South Western Avenue and West 15th Street, they located a male victim down on the sidewalk.

The victim was transported by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital. The condition of the patient is currently unknown.

Crime scene tape surrounded the area as the LAPD investigated the shooting incident and were observed using chalk to circle the bullet casings located on the ground.

The LAPD said it is unknown at this time if the shooting is gang related. There are no further details at this time.
