Burglar Smashes Jewelry Store Window in Robbery Attempt in La Cañada Flintridge

LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, Calif., Apr. 11 (KNN) — A window was smashed in an attempted robbery of the Avianti Jewelry store in La Cañada Flintridge overnight.

The burglary occurred just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the 2100 block of Foothill Boulevard.

The suspect had entered the store after using a hammer to break the front window, and was observed on video surveillance inside the store while the owner called the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

By the time deputies arrived, the suspect had fled the scene. The owners of the store also responded to the incident.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male driving a black Dodge Charger with a spoiler.

It is unknown at this time if any valuables were stolen from the store.
