Alley Shooting in Westlake Leaves Man Wounded

WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES. Apr. 12 (KNN) — A man was found wounded in an alley after a reported shooting in the Westlake neighborhood within Los Angeles early Friday morning.

Officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division responded to a reported shooting shortly after 3:30 a.m. in the area of Alvarado and 8th streets.

Arriving officers located a man in a nearby alley with a gunshot wound to the leg.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a local hospital for treatment of his wound.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and suspect description are unknown at this time.
