SOUTH LOS ANGELES, Apr. 19 (KNN) — Flames consuming a box truck in a street in South Los Angeles early Friday morning threatened a nearby commercial building.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 1:11 a.m. on the 5500 block of South Bandera Street in the Central-Alameda neighborhood within South Los Angeles.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a box truck in the middle of the street on fire as well as trash up against a nearby commercial building.
Both fires were extinguished without further damage to the structure. Firefighters were observed cutting through the backside of the truck looking for any remaining hot spots.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
