Man Shot in Florence-Firestone Neighborhood Pronounced Dead at Hospital

FLORENCE-FIRESTONE, LOS ANGELES, Apr. 24 (KNN) — A shooting victim was found mortally wounded in the Florence-Firestone neighborhood within Los Angeles early Wednesday morning.

The shooting was reported at 1:53 a.m. in the 9100 block of Compton Boulevard prompting a response from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.

Upon arrival, authorities located the wounded man who was subsequently transported by paramedics to a local hospital with lifesaving measures in progress. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
