LITTLEROCK, Calif., Apr. 29 (KNN) — Five people were killed in a traffic collision involving two vehicles in the Littlerock area of the Antelope Valley Sunday evening.
The fatal crash occurred at 8:12 p.m. at Pearblossom Highway (State Route 138) and 106th Street East, according to the California Highway Patrol. The Los Angeles County Fire Department along with Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies also responded to the scene.
The CHP reported that a blue/gray Mitsubishi sedan and a blue Toyota Yaris were involved in the collision with occupants initially reported trapped inside the vehicles. Both vehicles were found overturned – one on its side and the other on its roof – as seen in Key News Network video from the location.
CHP requested the coroner to respond to the location of the crash when five people were determined deceased at the scene.
According to initial information, one critically injured patient was transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time.
Both directions of 106th Street East were closed along with Pearblossom Highway as a result of the crash and for the investigation. It appears that the scene was cleared by midnight, according to CHP information.
