Burglary Suspect Taken Into Custody in Lancaster

LANCASTER, Calif., Apr. 30 (KNN) — Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lancaster Station responded to the 1000 block of East Avenue J 12 around 9:50 p.m. Monday, for an assistance request of a burglary suspect on the loose.

Deputies were able to set up a containment area and with the assistance of the airship overhead, they located the suspect running and hopping fences between houses.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

It is believed that he may have discarded a firearm during the search and foot pursuit. A canine unit was called to respond to the scene to conduct an article search.
