1 Driver Dead, 2 Juvenile Passengers Airlifted to Hospital Following Lancaster Traffic Collision

LANCASTER, Calif., Apr. 30 (KNN) — A driver was discovered deceased and two children were airlifted to a hospital following a violent two-vehicle traffic collision in Lancaster early Tuesday morning.

The traffic collision occurred around 7:23 a.m. at the intersection of 90th Street and Avenue D, involving a white passenger vehicle and a bottom dump truck.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department, Lancaster sheriff’s deputies and the California Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, an adult female approximately 75 years old, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two male juvenile passengers – a 12-year-old and 15-year-old – were airlifted in critical condition to Children’s Hospital.

Paramedics transported the female truck driver via ambulance to a local hospital for assessment. She was observed walking around at the scene before being transported.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the crash. There are no further details at this time.
