Man Found Dead Near Elementary School in Palmdale

PALMDALE, Calif., May 10 (KNN) — The body of a man was discovered near Anaverde Hills School in the city of Palmdale around 6:30 a.m. Friday by a passerby.

Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Palmdale Station were dispatched to the location along with Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel.

Upon arrival, they located a man with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives canvassed the area for witnesses, but no further information was released. This is an ongoing investigation.
