SUN VALLEY, LOS ANGELES, May 10 (KNN) — A vehicle was found abandoned after crashing into a fire hydrant in Sun Valley overnight.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the intersection of West Strathern Street and North Bellingham Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. for a traffic collision involving a hydrant.
When firefighters arrived, water was found gushing from a sheared hydrant with a damaged vehicle at the scene. However, no one from the vehicle was found at the location.
Firefighters took about 20 minutes to turn off the hydrant due to the car blocking the valve. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division is investigating the hit-and-run crash.
