Man Wounded in Shooting at Restaurant in Covina

COVINA, Calif., May 11 (KNN) — A man was shot at the location of a restaurant in the city of Covina early Saturday morning around 2 a.m.

Covina police officers and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a gunshot victim at Katie Jakes Bar & Grill in the 700 block of Terrado Plaza.

The wounded man was transported in unknown condition to a local hospital by paramedics. It is not known at this time if any suspects were detained or still outstanding.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently under investigation. Covina PD had the area cordoned off as detectives searched for evidence.

It appeared the shooting took place outside the restaurant around closing time, however, the exact location was not immediately known.
