On Friday morning, June 7, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Information Bureau identified the victim as 75-year-old Susan Miller. LASD’s Homicide investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of the victim.

The South Pasadena Police Department received a call around 8:45 p.m. June 4, 2024, regarding a person down and bleeding.

Officers responded to the 800 block of Brent Avenue and entered a residence at the location where they found a White female adult suffering from stabs wounds to her upper torso, according to Lt. Michael Modica with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau at the scene.

The Pasadena Fire Department responded to the address and pronounced the woman deceased at the residence.

“The victim was discovered by, kind of like, a welfare check. Someone was inquiring,” said Modica. “And that’s what led South Pasadena officers to go to the location.”
