Homicide Investigation Underway Into Fatal Shooting at Gerdes Park in Norwalk

NORWALK, Calif., June 9 (KNN) — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting death of a victim in the city of Norwalk early Sunday morning.

LASD deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a gunshot victim shortly before 1 a.m. at Gerdes Park in the 14700 block of Gridley Road.

Firefighters and paramedics arrived at the location and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

It was reported that a suspect armed with a black handgun had fled the scene in a white vehicle, direction unknown.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are not known at this time. The investigation is ingoing.
