Driver Flees After Crashing Into Parked Car, Apartment Building in Azusa

AZUSA, Calif., June 15 (KNN) — A driver fled the scene of a crash that impacted a parked vehicle and apartment building early Friday morning in Azusa.

The California Highway Patrol received a 911 call at approximately 2:30 a.m. regarding a traffic collision heard in the area of the 1100 block of West Arrow Highway.

Once CHP officers arrived, they located a pickup truck that had crashed into a parked vehicle and was found up against an apartment complex.

The driver of the pickup truck fled the scene in an unknown direction. The owner of the parked blue Chrysler 300 came out and noticed his vehicle was struck.

Azusa Police officers were at the scene and will be handling the investigation into the crash since it happened on the westbound lanes of Arrow Highway.

It is not known at this time if there is any description of the pickup truck driver.

There was visible damage to the front entrance gate to the apartment complex, however, it is not currently known if the building sustained any damage.
