Multiple Street Takeovers Block Intersections in San Fernando Valley

SAN FERNANDO VALLEY, Calif., June 21 (KNN) — Approximately 200 participants spectated and took part in street races and takeover activities across the San Fernando Valley Thursday night.

Multiple intersections were affected by takeovers as drivers performed donuts with their vehicles, which included sedans of various makes and models as well as pickup trucks. Fireworks were also shot off during the takeovers.

KNN video captured a vehicle losing a tire but continuing to do burnouts on its rim at the intersection of Devonshire and Woodman in Mission Hills.

Police responded to the takeovers and shut them down. It is unknown at this time if anyone was arrested or if any cars were impounded.
