Ontario police officers and Ontario Fire Department personnel responded to a traffic collision around 12:22 a.m., with multiple people trapped at North Grove Avenue and East Sixth Street.

Once officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, they located a vehicle that had crashed into a park car at high speeds causing a multi-vehicle pile-up.

Three people were reported to be inside the vehicle when it crashed; one was transported to a local hospital and two were pronounced deceased at the scene by firefighters and paramedics.

A total of six vehicles were damaged in the collision. It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash.

Witness Nycole spoke with KNN but declined to show her face on camera. She said that she heard the crash but what she had heard from someone else was that the car went speeding by when the light turned red and one car in the area avoided the speeding vehicle before it crashed into the parked cars.

Nycole said the sound of the crash was so loud that it felt like it shook the ground.
