Large Encampment Fire Burns Near 5 Freeway Off-Ramp in Pacoima

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, June 22 (KNN) — An encampment along the 5 Freeway in Pacoima erupted into flames early Saturday morning.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to a rubbish fire at approximately 3:41 a.m. located at the 5 Freeway off-ramp at Paxton Street.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a large encampment on fire. Two people and one dog were observed at the encampment.

Firefighters quickly knocked down the flames. No injuries were reported.
