Vehicle Plummets Off Cliff, Struck by Train Below

PALMDALE, Calif., June 28 (KNN) — The Los Angeles County Fire Department and California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a vehicle struck by a train around 11:18 p.m. Thursday night.

Upon arrival, fire units discovered a Metrolink train (Antelope Valley Line) had collided with a vehicle that had driven off a cliff approximately 35 to 45 feet down, according to sources regarding the incident.

It remains unclear whether anyone was inside the vehicle.

Meanwhile on the hillside above, one person with luggage was transported to a local hospital. One dog was rescued at the scene.

It is unknown at this time if they were both somehow involved in this incident.
