Shooting Victim Dropped Off at LAFD Fire Station 66 in South Los Angeles

CHESTERFIELD SQUARE, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 1 (KNN) — A shooting victim in need of medical attention arrived at a Los Angeles Fire Department Station in South Los Angeles late Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s 77th Division patrol units responded to LAFD Fire Station 66 in the 1900 block of West Slauson Avenue for a shooting victim around 11:20 p.m. in the Chesterfield Square neighborhood. The LAPD had also received a 911 call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the police department.

It appears the victim was transported to the station by private vehicle and dropped off after being shot somewhere in the area of Gage and Normandie Avenues.

Brian Humphrey, spokesperson for the LAFD, told KNN that the victim was reported to be a young adult male per information from Station 66. The age of the victim is unknown.

The victim was transported to a local hospital by LAFD paramedics directly from the fire station. The condition of the victim is not currently known, according to a spokesperson for the LAPD.

There are no further details regarding the incident.
