A home invasion occurred in the 15000 block of Greenleaf Street shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, with a woman inside the residence at the time of the break-in.

Responding LAPD officers with the Van Nuys Division were informed by the female occupant that three to four male suspects wearing ski masks entered the home and forced her into a bedroom while they ransacked the house, according to Officer Cervantes, spokesperson for the LAPD.

The suspects fled the location with the victim’s property. At this time, it is unclear what items were stolen from the residence.

Cervantes told Key News Network that officers working surveillance in the area followed the suspect’s vehicle, a black Honda Civic, to a house in the city of Compton.

LAPD airship support followed the suspects to 152nd Street, where at least two suspects were taken into custody. Officers established a perimeter and actively searched for two or three more possible outstanding suspects.

Ultimately, a total of four suspects were taken into custody involving a short foot pursuit.

This is an ongoing investigation.
