Key News Network video from the Snow Valley Ski Resort shows a billowing smokey sky in the distance. The area is the Incident Command Center for the Line Fire operation.

An update on the fire status reports that the Bear Creek drainage fire line made significant runs yesterday into late last night. It’s in a portion with an open line in a steep, inaccessible area.

It’s pushing out of the Bear Creek drainage and has been doing it for a few days. There is still a lot of unburned fuel, and nothing is threatened at this time. The incident has aircraft assigned and overhead, and the fire is still within containment lines.
