Car in Reverse Slams Into San Gabriel Restaurant

SAN GABRIEL, Calif., Oct. 1 (KNN) — A vehicle slammed into a restaurant while in reverse, damaging the front of the San Gabriel business.

San Gabriel police and fire departments responded to reports of a vehicle into a structure on the 500 block of East Valley Boulevard around 11:22 p.m. Monday.

When first responders arrived, they located a white Toyota sedan in reverse halfway into the Hibiki Japanese BBQ restaurant.

Per a sergeant at the scene, only one complaint of pain was reported.

It is unclear what caused the driver to shift the car into reverse instead of driving forward.

There are no further details at this time.
