TARZANA, LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10 (KNN) — A vehicle slammed into a coffee shop late Thursday afternoon in Tarzana, with multiple people in the area of the impact.
A single vehicle crashed into the front of Enigma Coffee in the 18600 block of Ventura Boulevard shortly before 4 p.m., prompting a response from the Los Angeles Fire Department and police.
The LAFD reported seven patients were either inside a vehicle in the parking lot or bystanders and did not sustain injuries. All the patients were evaluated at the scene by LAFD paramedics and declined transport to a hospital. The female driver, approximately 60 years old, was also assessed by paramedics and refused treatment and transport.
LAFD firefighters assessed the building while waiting for the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to arrive for the official determination of the business.
LAFD Urban Search and Rescue also responded to evaluate the building for any immediate safety concerns.
A black SUV with collision damage was observed at the location and is seen on KNN video. However, its involvement in the incident is unclear at this time.
The LAPD West Valley Traffic Division is handling the investigation.
